Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Materials Management Department based at Supply Chain, Ecowash, The successful Incumbent will report to the Materials Manager.
Purpose of the position:
Achieve operational targets in line with site business objectives
Key Performance Areas would include but are not limited to:
Ensure minimization of losses and write off due to poor logistics management practices
Ensure assets management
Effective control of stock and verifications by means of regular stock taking - stock count accuracy
Assist with all administrative functions relevant to stock take
Ensure control of purchasing required in Materials Management Department through creation of purchase order requisitions, receipt of stock and forwarding of documentation to accounts payable
Effective control stock movement
Ensure applicable documentation is generated, signed off and filed accordingly
Ensure timeous processing of stock movement documentation
Assist with administration pertaining to loading / off load of contracted transport
Record number of Customer complaints
Timeous dispatch of orders to distribution plants
Timeous shipment of Customer orders
Meet production requirements
Effectively manage non-conformances process
Ensure use of world class best practices to achieve business results
Ensure monthly ICC’s are done timeously
Resolution of Owner Driver/DAC queries
Adhoc functions
The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:
Grade 12 Certificate is the minimum required qualification
Tertiary qualification in or studying towards Warehouse qualifications will be advantageous
At least 2-3 working experience in a similar environment with strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities
Knowledge and exposure to the stock take procedure
Display proven verbal and written communication skills
Display an intermediate level of Computer literacy in MS Office, especially Excel
SAP knowledge – with emphases to Warehousing systems
Ability to initiate action spontaneously without being urged on to do so
Able to handle administrative tasks and procedures without supervision
Knowledge and ability to apply and follow procedures and policies applicable in own work area
Willing and prepared to work night shifts, Saturdays, Public Holidays and extended overtime hours
Actively participate during Mini Business area and contribute innovations for the betterment of the Department and the plant in general
