Main Function of the Job 

Fault resolution 

Attend to user support queries (Desktop/laptop/network) 

1st line support function for client requests originating from support desk. 

IT Security 

Perform or confirm regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. 

Support of staff in executing, testing and rolling out solutions 

Create, change and delete user accounts per request 

Backup 

Ensure Systems/Data Backups are completed on a daily basis 

System Uptime 

Support internal server systems. 

Perform or confirm system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. 

Installation, configuration of hardware, peripherals and services in accordance with standards and project / operational requirements. 

Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks. 

Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning. 

Behavioral 

Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. 

Information Security 

Manage risks associated with access to the information assets/systems. Skill Requirements

Display Screen Equipment, this is basically your PC screen and peripherals. We would look at seat height, screen height, chair ergonomics, screen glare 

MSDS – Material safety data sheets, this is H&S documentation for all chemicals and harmful substances
